Leahy and Gulbransen Discuss Biden Administration’s Attempt to Federalize Elections

Live from Music Row Tuesday morning on The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy – broadcast on Nashville’s Talk Radio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – host Leahy welcomed all-star panelist, official guest host, and Faith and Freedom Coalition’s State of Tennessee Director, Aaron Gulbransen in-studio to discuss the Biden administration’s effort to federalize elections.

Leahy: Well, Aaron, there they go again. This is a story by my very good friend Joel Pollak at Breitbart News, a senior editor there. Headline: “DOJ Refuses to Release Biden Administration Plan to Intervene in 2022 Election.”
What? I’m shocked. I’m shocked.

The Department of Justice is refusing to release 15 pages of documents explaining the Biden administration’s strategy to implement a voter access policy that is being coordinated with the left-wing groups just weeks before the 2022 election.

They’ve gotten a little bit smarter in terms of hiding this stuff. They did a pretty good job of hiding it back in 2000. The full story of how they manipulated the vote by managing election administration through $400 million-plus from Mark Zuckerberg still hasn’t been fully told, but it looks like they want to do it again in 2022. Your thoughts?

Gulbransen: They’re doing everything they can. They’re throwing everything against the wall to see what sticks, as the censored version of that kind of commentary, because they want to win the election.

And I think the point made in this article when it says the “‘Executive Order on Promoting Access to Voting’ reads like a Democratic Party wish-list of ‘reforms’ that enshrines many of the practices that were adopted on a temporary basis during the pandemic-affected 2020 election” is spot-on, because what they’re doing is they’re using federal agencies to promote voter registration, using federal agencies to push Americans to vote, linking federal agency websites to state registration websites.

They’re using, “approved nonpartisan third party organizations” to register voters, which really means they’re using left-wing organizations to register voters.

Leahy: Register Democrats.

Gulbransen: Yes.

Leahy: This is a state-sponsored Democrat get-out-the-vote effort through an executive order. By the way, that executive order hasn’t been challenged in court, but it ought to be. Pollak writes, that “under the U.S. Constitution, elections are largely administered by states.

But critics of Biden’s executive order note that it amounts to an attempt” – wait for it – “to federalize elections and to do so without authority from Congress.”

Gulbransen: Right. And a word to the wise out there, those of you who have standing to sue on this thing, which could be anybody, but do the lawsuit, please, before the election, not after the election.

Because I will tell you, in my observation in the work that I did on the 2020 election, the biggest problem we had, those of us who wanted a free and fair election in 2020, was someone was asleep at the wheel on the side of the Right.

Leahy: Someone.

Gulbransen: Someone.

Leahy: Basically, the Trump campaign was asleep at the wheel, and pretty much every party, because this was basically, if you will, a legalized theft in plain sight.

Gulbransen: Right. The easiest thing they could have done in 2020 was sue before the election over the issue of the mail-in voting, because the state legislatures are the only ones that have the constitutional authority to change how elections are conducted in the state.

Leahy: And they violated that statute in Georgia. And as we documented extensively, there were 600,000 absentee ballots placed in drop boxes, not authorized by statute, that didn’t have chain-of-custody documentation. In Wisconsin, the state law says it’s illegal to have absentee ballot drop boxes.

The election commission, they’re all Democrats, said, ah, we’re going to do it anyway. The Supreme Court ruled about two months ago that that was entirely illegal – 287,000 votes were placed in those drop boxes.

Any fair-minded person would say, we got to throw those out. That state, the margin was like 20,000 votes. Georgia, the margin was 10,000 votes. These were all statutorily unauthorized votes that changed the outcome of those elections.

Gulbransen: Right. The other side of it, too, is when people wonder how Biden could have gotten 81 million votes or so. Part of it is obviously the fraud. The other part of it is the average American is kind of lazy. They like everything at their fingertips, right? So when you make it easier for them to just walk over to their mailbox to go vote, that’s what they did. In part.

Leahy: In part. By the way, the Foundation for Government Accountability, that’s a great group out of Florida, filed Freedom of Information request for documents about the Department of Justice plan last year.

The Department of Justice refused to produce those documents until last Thursday. A federal court required it. And guess what? They used the loophole, though, to withhold the strategic plan which lays it all out.
